This addition to the National Naval Aviation Museum at NAS, Pensacola, Florida was entirely funded by private donations. “Hangar Bay One” as it is called, is 55,000 sf, 53 ft high structure with a 210 ft. horizontal span. This building was designed to suspend historically significant aircraft from its metal trusses as well as provide static displays on the floor. Fully conditioned for comfort and humidity control, this monumental addition will receive over 1 million visitors annually.
