Greenhut won a design-build competition to construct the Regional Headquarters for the regional Navy Fire Stations and the Pensacola station itself. This project was recognized with an “Outstanding” evaluation by the Department of the Navy. The base fire station includes Administrative offices, Living Quarters and an Apparatus Bay.

When many structures and buildings were damaged during Hurricane Ivan, this building was unscathed and became the operational headquarters for the Base Commanding Office for several months thereafter.
